Where the data comes from

Airports, routes and airlines in SkyQ and AirportQ come from Open Travel Data (OPTD, CC BY 4.0), with some city names from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). The data is processed: distance is the great-circle distance and flight time is estimated from it. The OPTD route network reflects schedules from around 2021.

The operators of each aircraft type in PlaneQ come from the OpenFlights database (ODbL) and reflect the fleet of around 2014. Aircraft figures (typical seats, range, first flight) are averaged manufacturer data.

The maps and cities in the geography games and the metro populations come from Natural Earth (public domain), and the runway layouts from OurAirports (public domain). Polish city names are GeoNames alternate names (CC BY 4.0), taken via OPTD. The metro systems in the Metro game come from Wikidata (CC0).

The daily puzzle is chosen deterministically from the date, so every player gets the same puzzle on the same day.
